1st Grade

My name is Korinda Timko and I am a first grade teacher at Young Scholars. I am very excited to be your child's first grade teacher this year! This is my fourth year at YSCP. In the past, I have taught fourth and fifth grade at Wonderland Charter School.

I live in Sandy Ridge, Pennsylvania. I have two cats. Their names are Tampa and Theo. I also have a miniature Golden Retriever. Her name is Annabelle. I enjoy reading books, walking, and taking my kayak out onto the water in my free time. I absolutely love to travel. I have been throughout a lot of the United States. I have also traveled to Wales and to Ireland. 

I graduated from Lock Haven University in 2012 with my bachelors in Elementary Education and a minor in Middle School Math. I graduated from WGU in January of 2024 with my Masters of Mathematics. I just recently graduated in June 2024 with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.

I have a three year old daughter and her name is Sophie. She is sweet yet sassy. She is my pride and joy.
